His Holiness, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI said "[Music] has the power to lead us back...to the Creator of all harmony, creating a resonance within us which is like being in tune with the beauty and truth of God, with the reality which no human knowledge or philosophy can ever express." Music at the Gate believes that the arts, and music in particular, elevate and bring the human spirit closer to God. It also affirms that arts education is critical to our children's development and to the sustainability of the quality of life in our communities.

Due to unsettling weather predictions for dangerous cold and hazardous conditions including snow, Music at the Gate and the performers have agreed that the January 25th concert scheduled for 5:00 PM at St. Mary Gate of Heaven is canceled. It will be rescheduled at a later date.
