Sabino Guisu (Juchitán de Zaragoza, 1986) who speaks fluent Zapotec was inspired by the poem Diidxazá by Gabriel López Chiñas to create this neon artwork.

Ay! Zapoteco Zapoteco,
idioma que me revive,
sé que morirás,
el día que muera el Sol.

Oh! Zapotec, Zapotec
Language that revives me,
I know you shall die,
On the same day the Sun dies.

This work is part of "Los Huecos del Agua, arte actual de pueblos originarios" exhibition
