Look into the future with us!

In 2023, we are pairing two rarely heard flutes, the Japanese shakuhachi and the Native American flute, and featuring them in works performed and composed by Native American flutist Ron Warren and shakuhachi player James Nyoraku Schlefer. My own composition "Rashomon" for shakuhachi and strings is on the program. The concert will take place the evening of May 24th, 2023 at the elegant Kosciuszko Foundation on East 65th Street.

CEC collaborates with artists who are passionate about new music. For the past 25 years, our programs have featured voices not normally heard in classical concert halls. We hope that you will feel moved to support us in our mission.
