Happy Monday!!! In this life I’ve have learned the importance of affirming yourself based on everything God says that I am and created me to be! When we seek out affirmation of we are from the wrong sources we can end up feeling lost, confused and like an imposter! This preScripture is for anyone who is going through a season when they feel lost or like they don’t know who they are! Know that Hod knew you even before you were on this earth and he put his living purpose inside of you! In these times lean on El Roi “ The God that see me “. God sees and knows who you really are! You don’t have to perform or be something you’re not for him to just love you as you were created to be!

One thing I’ve learned from being in class with Kareem M. Lucas is the importance of reading everything on the page and taking those directions moment to moment. Kareem emphasizes being very specific with our choices, so with this self-tape I tried to implement what he taught us in class. I know the more I do it the better I will become at executing it.

My goal with sharing this is to inspire everyone to keep staying the course, stay rooted and aligned with your purpose and to not be afraid to put yourself out there! I want to document the process whether I “fail” ( if you learned from it, it’s not a failure. It’s a stepping stone, pushing you one step closer) or succeed.

Shoutout to Kareem for always pouring into his students and taking his time to break down any script, I appreciate you!

Monologue Monday: it’s been a minute since I did monologue Monday so I had to a monologue from Ruined by Lynn Nottage!

My sisters and I were about to run a 5k so I had to make sure we had a little snack… let’s make some B.L.T. I used beef bacon because one of my sisters and I do not eat pork. Fun fact, I didn’t even know beef bacon was a thing until I interned at Tatiana by Chef Kwame Onwuachi.

I love when I get the opportunity to bring the people I love together and I can make them something to eat even if it’s a simple but flavorful sandwich.
