We saw a need to create a market that supports the emerging Black Contemporary Artists of today thus establishing TunnelVision. TunnelVision operates as a gallery and agency that gives visibility to the work of Black Contemporary Artists by uniting art collectors with artists.
“There are consumers of Black Contemporary Art,” JD says. “There is a world of art where people live, adopt, and gravitate to what our culture produces. The audience is there! And the people around me are dope Black Contemporary Artists… It’s time to embrace our culture, own our culture, and own the systems that push our culture so that our message stays true to our values. Black people are woven within every piece of society through the diaspora… to claim our place in the art world is a beautiful thing. Losing this perspective, is like losing an entire middle chapter”.
