ART OPEN STUDIOS next weekend: 35+ Park Slope Windsor Terrace Artists (including ME) showing a wide range of artwork!!
Saturday & Sunday, June 7 & 8, 12-6 pm.
You'll find me with 9 other artists at SHAPESHIFTER LAB at 837 Union St, between 7th and 6th Avenues (right across the street from the Park Slope Food Co-op).
I'll be showing recent paintings, including watercolors, and will have print reproductions and note cards for you to choose from.

Afternoon delight... Whitewashed lighthouse against the deep blue Mediterranean, and other islands in the background, a little bougainvillea on the side. Yummy!

Arrivederci Ortigia! The historic center of Siracusa (Syracuse) is a small island chock full of incredible history (from 650 b.c.!!), sights and flavors.

When you have a couple of hours to spend and this was the best thing to paint, why not?! It was a nice light/shadows exercise. Plus that red was fun 😊

Does it count as "plein air" painting if the door was open, I could feel the light breeze, and hear the chirping of so many birds?
Fun to visit with a friend and paint at the same time.

PREVIEW and painting DEMO: join me THIS SUNDAY to preview the group exhibit at Shapeshifter Lab and say "Hi!" - I'll be there 3-5 pm. Have an early look at some of the artists who will be showing artwork during Open Studios organized by Park Slope Windsor Terrace Artists, June 7 & 8. (SAVE THE DATE!!)
Office Hours in May, when Shapeshifter Lab will be open on several Sunday afternoons with Featured Artists available to speak about their work and do demonstrations. Come in & visit!
