We had a fantastic Writer’s Room at Beloved last Saturday evening, with a terrific lineup of amazing performances from beginning to end as well as a packed house! Thanks again to all who performed and attended. It gave our co-host Jeff Jacobs a great send off to SD (although we hope to see him again soon). And best of luck to our friend and talented songwriter Meghan Pulles on her upcoming move to Nashville. ☺️

We hope to run this back again in the spring. Stay tuned for our event post. Until then be well and keep writing!

(Btw for those interested Jeff will be back at Beloved tonight from 7-9 for the last night of his January residency there followed by an open jam from 9-11.)

We sincerely apologize for the last minute notice but we have to cancel tomorrow’s Writer’s Room showcase at Beloved Cafe NYC. Scott is out of commission with the flu and Jeff is still out of town traveling.

We are working on rescheduling this at Beloved on a TBD date in January as soon as possible. We will be in touch very soon with the details. In the meantime, thanks so much for understanding, keep writing and Happy Holidays!

Winter is very close to here and that means time for cozying up with that guitar and writing one damn good & heartwarming song! And since it’s been awhile we’re excited to return with another Writer’s Room before we close out 2022.

Writers Room NYC is an intimate listening room of NYC singer/songwriters where we share music, network with other musical artists & warm the hearts of whoever’s listening. We host pop-up singer/songwriter showcases throughout the year at different venues in NYC. Come connect and share your work!

LOCATION: We’re excited to be trying out a new space, Beloved Cafe, a beautifully curated restaurant / cafe with a delicious vegan menu and great beer, wine and tea selection! Beloved is located at 198 Allen Street in Manhattan.

FIRST TIME ARTIST SUBMISSIONS: If you haven’t performed at a Writer’s Room already, please submit your music by sending a DM to our IG account (or a private message to www.Facebook.com/WritersRoomNYC) and include a link to where we can stream your music. If it does not work out this time, please continue to submit, and we will do our best to get you on stage at a future showcase!

SIGNUP: If you have already performed at a Writer's Room before, please send us a message to sign up. 1-2 songs per performer, depending on how many signups we get. Featured spots available for those who bring down 5 guests. Please note, limited performance slots are available, so please only sign up if you are committed to attending.

ARRIVAL TIME: We kindly ask that all performers and their guests please arrive as close to 6:30PM as possible to create that warm, listening environment that we all love. Thank you for respecting your fellow performers!

Spring has sprung (even though it doesn’t feel like it this week haha)! And we at the Writers Room are very excited to be back with our next showcase this coming Saturday night (Apr 9 from 7-10pm) at ! We have another killer lineup coming your way including .wav .whelan and more! Be sure to come on by to check out and support these awesome songwriters and performers!

As always and will be hosting. We look forward to hearing the songs our performers created during this long winter!

Hello fellow songwriters! Scott here. Hope you’re all enjoying the start of 2022 so far. Jeff and I will be in touch soon about details for our next Writers Room showcase. But in the meantime I wanted to let you know about my upcoming show this coming Sunday at Mercury Lounge, which also features WR alum and our good bud, Rory D'Lasnow, as headliner, and Josh Freeburn as the second act! See the attached flyer for more info. All band shows (and personally my first band show in over 2 years!). Our triple bill is the early show this coming Sunday so we’ll be kicking things off starting at 5:30pm.
