The company is comprised of dancers with the willingness to work hard, to dedicate oneself to a passion, and to resolve to dance both efficiently and non-toxically. ANAHATA began in 2009 with the premiere of Floating on Rooftops, a site specific modern dance concert in a loft apartment, on its roof, and in a park across the street from the loft. The New York based company has performed in venues such as the DUMBO Dance Festival, The World Dance Alliance, as a part of APAP at Joyce SoHo, the Women in Dance Festival, the Cool New York Festival. Other notable performances include a self-produced show at the Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance and a full-length site-specific work, “How It Is Infinite” on Manhattan Beach in Brooklyn, New York. Most recently, ANAHATA hosted a collaborative concert, "Celebrating H'Doubler", that featured work by UW-Madison Faculty and NYC based alumni. Artistic Director, Choreographer: Natalie Teichmann
