IRIS GETS READY FOR HER DATE performance project / workshop Both humorous and disturbing, IRIS reflects on women’s dilemma of self expression and appealing to men sexually.

IRIS GETS READY FOR HER DATE, a dance theatre work with projections and original music, began over four years ago with a brunette wig. Exposing IRIS’s anxieties and excitement as she decides what to do with her large pile of purple bras, tissue boxes, pair of oranges and high heels. IRIS has been developing thru performance in a variety of spaces, including Dixon Place, Joyce Soho, Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, and residencies.
