Academics, researchers, teachers, & comics take the mic to give life to those dusty textbooks and show you what research & teaching is really like. From statistics to evolution, philosophy, history, and more, come for the laughs and the cutting-edge ideas, stay for the laughs and the cutting-edge ideas. Produced by Kyle Marian, a science communicator & former physical anthropologist. She got the comedy bug in the UK doing science stand-up with the Bright Club Comedy community and is now on a mission to train up academics & spread the smart funnies across the US. Monthly show at Caveat NYC (LES). Workshops available to learn the skills of stand-up comedy & share your research on the stage. Held at Caveat & partner institutions.

Laugh of Totality’ is an evening of the funniest nerds and scientist-turned-comedians telling their best jokes about April 8, 2024’s total solar eclipse.

Expect a joy, laughter, and GIVEAWAYS! It’s going to be a ridiculous, raunchy, and somewhat informative night that will leave your brain and abs hurting from laughter.
