Laugh of Totality’ is an evening of the funniest nerds and scientist-turned-comedians telling their best jokes about April 8, 2024’s total solar eclipse.

Expect a joy, laughter, and GIVEAWAYS! It’s going to be a ridiculous, raunchy, and somewhat informative night that will leave your brain and abs hurting from laughter.

I miss laughing & learning together. I hope you’re all hanging in there. In the next few weeks, I’ll be opening up some digital co-writing & co-creating spaces for fellow BIPOCs. The is here. Don’t be afraid. Don’t scapegoat or spread hate. BE ACTIVE. Use medically-suggested precautions for the flu & the cold (handwash, contain your own fluids to yourself, clean surfaces & YOUR PHONE, stay at home if you’re unwell). Leave surgical facemasks to folks who most need it (immunocompromised, elders, people with disabilities). Protect the most vulnerable & keep yourself healthy.
I want to thank ALL the people who came to watch our show last night. I don’t know if and I could’ve timed this show any better. Thank you so much to all the performers who threw it down on our show and were game to do silly bits while I tried to insert some & w/ friends.
And to the folks who might’ve left offended because jokes called out white people a lot, please consider out of the people in that room that night, you have the *most power* in this space to change the scariest part about the pandemic: VOTE. Vote for scientifically-literate leaders. Vote to abolish predatory health care. Vote for unions that protect workers’ rights. Vote to abolish trafficking routes. Vote to keep your social security & medicaid safe. WE ALL NEED THIS TO COMBAT THIS & ANY FUTURE PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUES.
