⭐ Making Dance
directed by Jessica Ray
📘 Filmmaker Jessica Ray's short documentary, Making Dance, is a compelling portrait of a working contemporary dance artist, Kayla Farrish.

💫 Searching for Felíx "El Loco"
directed by M. Gabriela Estrada
📗 The mysterious disappearance of Picasso's lost muse: the prodigy Spanish dancer hired by the glamorous Ballet Russes to create the first and greatest flamenco ballet of all time.

💫 All the Voices
directed by Maritza Navarro and Danielle Yasuda
📗 All the Voices is an experimental, non-fiction dance film by Yasuda featuring six participants who share personal stories of hair loss through movement and conversation. The film combines dance, cinematic choreography, and a six-frame visual structure to explore the emotional impact of hair loss, identity, self-worth, and community. It is one of twelve films documenting Yasuda's first year of hair loss. The project challenges beauty standards that tie hair to identity and worth, particularly for women and femmes at the intersection of sexism and racism. By centering marginalized voices, the film creates space for audiences experiencing hair loss to feel seen, connected, and less alone.

🎥 Dance on Camera is built to champion films like this.

Carmen, directed by Andrew Margetson and starring Carmen Aviles, is one example of the bold, imaginative work that can emerge when dance and film meet. ✨💃

For more than 50 years, Dance on Camera has provided a platform for artists exploring movement through the camera—and our community makes that work possible.

💛 Our summer fundraiser ends August 20, and we're in the final stretch. Your support helps us continue creating opportunities for filmmakers through our Festival, Dance Film Labs, Production Grants, and year-round programming.

Every gift helps keep innovative dance films being made, shared, and seen. 🎬

Help us reach our goal before August 20.

🎥 We’re in the final stretch.

Our summer fundraiser ends August 20, and we’re asking our Dance on Camera community to help us finish strong. 💛

For more than 50 years, Dance on Camera has created opportunities for artists to experiment, share their work, connect with audiences, and expand what’s possible at the intersection of dance and film.

That work continues because of the people who believe in it. From filmmakers and dancers to audiences, volunteers, members, and supporters—you are an essential part of this community. 🤝✨

Your donation helps us continue presenting the Festival, Dance Film Labs, Production Grants, educational programming, and new initiatives that support the future of dance film.

There are just a few days left to make a difference. If you've been meaning to give, now is the time.

❤️ Help us reach our goal before August 20.
