I’m a man who wears multiple hats, and am blessed with multiple talents and gifts; but ministry is my First Assignment. This Collar, this Cross, and this Clergy Apron ain’t no costume, and I’m not no character posing as minister of the Gospel neither. I’m both Called and Chosen by God!! Honored to have officiated my sister Vernessa Ellis and her newly wedded husband Rashaad’s Wedding Ceremony today. Honored to serve and to be a blessing!! This is what true ministry is about.

Even though Jesus said that “a prophet is without honor in his hometown, and amongst his own;” that doesn’t give you the right to be in a place of complacency, and mediocrity. Do not lessen who you are, or lessen your God given potential because you’re in a place of “familiarity.” What God has given you are the those that strangers to you who will receive from you, rather than those who think they’re equal, or superior than you.

She gave her life to Jesus Christ in her latter years of her Hip-Hop career, and serve in the ministry faithfully. R.I.P. Auntie Doreen Broadnax aka Doreen Broadnax / Sparky D Speaks.
