By supporting the work of these underrepresented groups, we demonstrate the value, quality

, and diversity of their contributions. A more extensive history of SOHO20 Gallery can be found here, http://soho20gallery.com/about/organization-history/

Soho20 Gallery is excited to present “Danger Zones”, an exhibition featuring Afarin Rahmanifar, Eleonora Tammes, Susan Hockaday, Virginia Mallon, Lisa Fischetti, Lucy Hodgson, Judith Mistor, Kathy Stark, Debbie Rasiel, Isabella Covert, and Anne Elliott

In an era marked by political upheaval and societal division, Danger Zones confronts the volatile landscape of our times under the Trump administration. This exhibition serves as a visceral response to the erosion of democratic norms and the rise of authoritarian tendencies, reflecting the collective anxiety and resilience of our society.

This exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the precariousness of our current political climate and the resilience required to navigate it. It challenges us to confront uncomfortable truths, engage in critical dialogue, and reaffirm our commitment to a society that values freedom, justice, and equality for all.

Join SoHo20 Gallery in their open call for entry for the upcoming exhibition, "My Body, My Choice!"

In 1973, the same year SOHO20 was founded, the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion, granting women crucial rights that are now under threat. This exhibition responds to the recent court decisions that restrict one’s freedom of choice, juxtaposing the voices of established members of SOHO20 with those of younger emerging artists.

Any emerging artist that creates artwork responding to reproductive rights is welcome to enter. This will be an online exhibition on the gallery's website. The final selected work will be shown alongside the Soho20 gallery members.

“The Forbidden Dance is a depiction of women in social and political environments. The purpose of this project is to unfold stories of women in ancient times of Iran as well as its present strict laws that women cannot dance in a man's presence. “Forbidden Dance” series hope to bring a renewed perspective to the audience.” -Afarin Rahmanifar
