Dear friends and family,
I am really excited to be casting and producing a new indie feature called “Scarred Hearts” written and to be directed by Andrew Akler. It is based on a true story, which exposes a realistic and sometimes frightening window into the life of domestic abuse victims, who yearn to find the courage to break free of their oppressors. It is the journey of a young girl Johanna who finds her strength and her voice through music to break the chain of abuse. This story speaks to anyone who has been in such a situation and tells them that with courage you can rise above your situation. It will empower people of all ages to see themselves as valuable and know that they have a voice. It will continue the dialogue and spark meaningful conversations to prevent and stop domestic violence. Perhaps it can even save someone’s life.
