For 16 years Avenue Q has welcomed audiences to the neighborhood night after night. As we head into our final performance we just want to say thank you. Thank you to all of our loyal fans who have supported us from the beginning, to everyone who was loud as the hell they wanted when telling their friends about Avenue Q, and of course to everyone who pursued a B.A. in English. Thank you for 16 years of laughs, love and memories.

And as always, don't forget -- "Everything in life is only for now." 🧡

Ahead of our final performance this Sunday, the father of our puppets, Rick Lyon and The Lyon Puppets, sat down with Nicky on Weekend Today to talk about and the road to becoming a 15 year institution.

Avenue Q opened on Broadway nearly 16 years ago, moved off-Broadway in 2009 and is finishing up its storied run one week from today. Gus Rosendale speaks with puppet creator Rick Lyon and actor and puppeteer Jason Jacoby about the show.
