Leah Lopez Fine Art

Leah Lopez Fine Art Welcome to the studio. My work aims to elevate the everyday and explore the emotional depth found in carefully observed moments.

Here I share painterly process, thoughts on natural light and chiaroscuro, and behind-the-scenes updates on current series and exhibitions. Leah Lopez is a New York-based oil painter specializing in the study of light and shadow, depicted through evocative still life and figurative compositions. Working from a dedicated studio in the Hudson Valley, my practice centers on capturing the nuanced interplay of illumination and form in both natural and controlled environments. Join me at The Lace Mill in Kingston for the opening reception of The Power Within.

I warmly invite you to join me this Saturday, September 5th, for the opening reception of The Power Within at The Lace Mill Main Gallery in Kingston, New York.

Genesis By Leah Lopez - on exhibit at The Lace Mill in Kingston, NY.

"This exhibition speaks to the ancient truth that power is not force, but alignment. Moving through layers of shadow and illumination, the works reveal life's delicate balance." — The Sibyls

Curated by the Sibyls, this exhibition features twelve regional women artists exploring internal landscapes, transformation, identity, and personal voice. For this show, I am presenting eight large-scale figurative oil paintings that examine internal presence beneath physical form—bringing light and narrative out of deep shadow.
