What a beautiful afternoon we shared last Sunday in celebration of Father’s Day!
The event kicked off with a lively Open Mic, showcasing local talent and setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. Solomon Hicks and his band then took the stage, delivering an electrifying performance filled with blues, jazz, and swing. 🎸🎶 Under the sunshine, the crowd enjoyed every moment, and the dance floor quickly came alive with people dancing and celebrating together.

A special thank you to the DJ for keeping the energy flowing from start to finish and seamlessly guiding us between performances.

Thank you to all the artists, organizers, partners, volunteers, and community members who made this event possible.

Your support and enthusiasm helped create a truly memorable celebration of music, culture, and community in Harlem. ❤️

Harlem showed up and showed out! 🎷✨

Hosted by , , and , the plaza at the 125th Street State Office Building turned into an outdoor jazz party filled with live music, swing dancing, and classic Harlem energy.

Langston Hughes II and his band, alongside powerhouse vocalist Margi Gianquinto, brought the vibes with everything from swing favorites to Duke Ellington’s legendary “Caravan.” And when the band took a break, kept the dance floor alive with nonstop movement and good energy.

From longtime jazz lovers to first-time swing dancers, everybody got caught up in the music. Young, old, dancing, vibing, or just taking it all in - it was one of those perfect Harlem summer nights.

Big thanks to Senator Cordell Cleare, Councilmember Yusef Salaam, and I Love NY for helping make this happen.

More culture. More music. More Harlem.
