I’m thrilled to announce the return of the Just a Piano concert series, in association with 24Karat in its second consecutive year, a production company founded by several of my former NYU graduate students.

As many of you know, Just a Piano ran for ten years at the historic Triad Theater—where we return on February 14th, Valentine’s Day—continuing the legacy of artists accompanied solely by the piano.

Over the years, that legacy has included alumni artists such as Kecia Lewis, LaChanze, Adrian Lennox, Alyson Williams, Titus Burgess, Lillias White, Melba Moore, Norm Lewis, Chester Gregory, Ryan Shaw, Roz Ryan, Shelton Becton, Alton White, Chuck Cooper, and many more.

Pianists featured in the series have included Michael O. Mitchell, Zane Mark, Mary Mitchell, Annastasia Victory, Brian Whitted, and the late Timothy Graphenreed.
