September Mystery Mask

Does anyone have an idea as to the cultural origin of this mask ? It is small, maybe five inches. Most guesses have been Indonesia or Nepal. It is a lovely carving. Thanks for any ideas.

In Southern China itinerant storytellers would use monkey actors to enact so meof the scenes from the play the Monkey King....The Center mask is the Monkey King himself Sun Wukong.
They are late 19th c. -early 20th C. The Monkeys held them in their mouths with bite sticks
