| EB 2015 graduate Melissa Chapski, now a Coryphée with Dresden SemperOper in Germany, recently returned from Malaysia, where she performed as a Principal Guest Artist with Ballet Theatre Malaysia in the world premiere of their new production of Swan Lake.

Melissa danced Odette/Odile in a production that brought new costumes, sets, and elements of Malaysian culture to the classic ballet. From New York to Europe to Malaysia, Melissa’s career continues to span stages and companies around the world!

Ellison Ballet ➡️ Finnish National Ballet ➡️ First Soloist: A beautiful story of determination and finding your own path. 🩰✨

We’re delighted to see Ellison Ballet graduate Seoyeun Kim profiled by The Korea Times.

Her journey has taken her across continents, through unexpected turns, and ultimately to a place where she could grow into the artist she wanted to become.

A wonderful example of how there is no single path to a career in ballet.

// "Don't lose inspiration."

As a new school year approaches, we’re taking those words with us from Irina Dvorovenko, who has taught at the Ellison Ballet Summer Intensive for four summers.

A distinguished ballerina and former principal dancer with ABT, Irina reminds our students that great dancing demands more than technique. It requires discipline, musicality, performance, and above all, the inspiration to keep growing.

A powerful reminder for the start of a new year.
