The Quintessential The Q creates bespoke music salon experiences that defy traditional concert settings Through mutual friend, Dr. Zito was introduced to violinist CheHo Lam.

The Q highlights one rare quintessential aspect of lives in the digital age: intimacy in real-life connectivity, through cultural experiences. Dr. Tony Zito (1941-2016), a psychiatrist, documentary producer, and an avid piano player, had opened up his place to friends and art lovers in the community to attend regular house concerts all his life while residing in New York. An enthusiast of all thin

gs arts and culture CheHo has had the chance to work with professional and artists of different medium since moving to New York City after college. He is passionate about curating and promoting this collective experience to all, as well as creating ways to make it accessible. Hence, together with Dr. Zito, they started Music on Mondays, the initial brand of The Q. A project described as "an endeavor and testimonial of love" in Dr. Zito's own word, The Q hopes to carry on his legacy through this community endeavor by being a part of the way he saw the world.

In light of recent tragedy in Hong Kong, The Q is putting together a small fundraising salon this Tuesday benefiting and in solidarity of the residents, victims and families affected by the fire in Tai Po

We have also garnered support from corporates to facilitate matching donations on Giving Tuesday, doubling the impact we’ll raise from the evening.

In the aftermath of heartache, where words fail and silence aches, music could hopefully become the gentle architect of mending.

I was amazed and astonished at the sounds produced by the various violins played by Cheho at this never-heard-before event. To hear the music emanating from a singular prized instrument was a delicious treat.
