Noho Gallery

Noho Gallery Chelsea Art District, New York, NY Noho Gallery stands as one of the oldest and most respected artist-led galleries in New York. Hours: Tue-Sat 11-6

The guiding philosophy through the years has been to exhibit art works of high quality in all media, diverse in style and content. Noho Gallery opened its doors in 1975 and was originally located just north of Houston Street, thus the name "Noho." In 1983 the gallery relocated to Soho for seventeen years. In 2001 we relocated to the Chelsea Art District, partnering with M55 Art in December 2012 to become Noho M55 Gallery.

RICHARD PITTS: “PRESENCE”
September 29 - October 17, 2026
Reception: Thursday, October 1, 6-8

Presence

Before there was art, there was presence.

Long before images were made, before language named the world, human beings stood before the unknown. They faced the changing sky, the movement of animals, the rhythm of light and darkness, the silence of stone, and the mystery of their own existence. They were not observers standing apart from the world. They were participants within it.
