I look forward to another collaboration with Yael Acher "KAT" MODIANO. This time we're bringing our energy to Friends of Standing Together NYC at one of the most festive venues in Brooklyn, Barzakh • Café • برزخ
Please come!
Date: 6/20
Time: 3:30 - 5:30pm
Location: Barzakh Café, 147 Utica Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11213
Tickets: https://www.viewcy.com/event/the_olive_tree
Join us for an immersive afternoon of culture and community, featuring works by Janine Sopp, a Palestinian-Lebanese-American ceramic artist, Yael Acher "KAT" Modiano (an Israeli-Danish flutist and composer); and Rachid Halihal (a Moroccan multi-instrumentalist, playing oud, violin & voice). This event combines live music, ceramic artwork, and spoken-word poetry to weave a shared vision for a future of sustainable peace. The plan: to build a “capsule from the future” together, filled with creativity and joy, and concluding with a collective celebration of sharing, dance, and music.
Our community members have curated an afternoon of music and visual art to foster awareness of peace, inclusion, and warm, open minds. People of all ages and walks of life are welcome!
Plus, we're raising funds for ST's lifesaving work in Israel-Palestine! All proceeds go to their annual crowdfunding campaign. Come enjoy art that supports your values!
Many thanks to El Atigh (owner of Barzakh Café) for hosting, and to the Friends of Standing Together Cultural Fundraising team for organizing.
