. Even though Butoh can be considered an unadorned dance, it's essential to take some points of principles. Focus & Blur is one of the most important of them - It’s the meditative state, where the person can look inside of her/himself and go into a trance with it. From then on, the body speaks for itself.
⚪️ Exercise: Imagine a small white ball in front of you. It's coming more and more next to your eyes. Now, it's between the space of your eyes, and slowly it's coming inside of your skin. Imagine it, and here we go!

I started creating videos during the pandemic, and I still don't understand how the web works. However, this specific video grew more than other ones.
I clearly remember what was going on in that room. As many of my performances are improvisational, this wasn't different. I collect what I see and hear, and it reverberates in my body, and at this time, I felt those things that are hard to explain; you just know, and Hijikata's energy was there. It was present in that room where the flashlight decided to blink by itself and a sense of rage took care of the room making a terrifying and at the same time magnificent atmosphere.
Butoh requires trust, and I am grateful for reencountering Butoh.

It can take decades or centuries for you to find yourself, and on this journey, there will be so many reencounters... So, after extracting a little clarity, ...

Butoh, The Dance of Human Experience.
The much we advanced, it still runs through our blood, the genetics of our ancestors, the prehistoric elementals - and we still insist on using these same resources and new technologies against our species. Even though it feels we are in the middle of revolution times, we have a long way to go. The power is blind.
