Tier5 : A Theatre Company

Tier5 : A Theatre Company Founded in 2015 in London, now based in NYC, Tier5 takes classic tales and historical events and ret Oh, and having a lot of fun doing it.

*Mission*

Through process, performance, and exploration, Tier5 elevates the traditional theatrical experience and turns it on its head. By using moments in history, well-worn tropes, and classic tales, the company reflects those stories through a modern lens to reveal truths of the current world around us. We hope to encourage our performers, audiences, and creatives to take what has come before to build a better yet come. After all, the past never felt so now.

*Values*

Tier5 believes any bit of our cultural, physical, and theatrical history is worth exploring, deconstructing and rebuilding to include those who have been disenfranchised from the longstanding narrative. With a focus on bringing female, q***r, and BIPOC storytelling to the forefront, we hope to enrich our theatrical landscape, moving the social standard forward. As a company, Tier5 seeks to create an inclusive, safe, intersectional, and anti-racist space for artists to grow, devise, learn, and feel joy. We strive to build a strong sense of ensemble, produce thought provoking works, and cultivate new skills, insights, and perspectives through stories past and present; all while bringing top quality entertainment and educational experiences to our audiences.

Tuesday, October 20th, 2026 at 7pm

Young scholar Arthur Tuck is on a quest for a magical artifact when he finds himself lost in a thunderstorm — good thing there’s a foreboding Gothic manor to shelter him! What follows is a q***r, romantic-fantasy-comedy featuring as many Gothic lit tropes as a small cast of actors can (in)humanly embody.

The Sum of These Parts
By Haley Kofuku Henson

Monday, October 5, 2026, at 7pm
at The Tank NYC

In a dystopian future where humans prolong their lives by replacing their body parts, the poor are dying in the street while the affluent horde wealth so they can live forever. Gray, a disillusioned aristocrat trapped by an overbearing guardian, and Lincoln, the leader of a group of streetwise scavengers struggling for survival, form an unlikely bond that the powers that be would do anything to break. In this twisted sci-fi retelling of Romeo & Juliet, civil blood will make civil hands unclean as Gray and Lincoln battle the violent systems keeping them apart and attempt to escape the same fate as Shakespeare’s tragic lovers.

Buckle up, we’re about to show why the scariest thing this spooky season is capitalism.

Tier5 is DYING with EXCITEMENT to present SPOOKYF3ST at The Tank. The only thing more frightening than our new play staged reading series, though? The cost of producing theatre.

We need to raise $2,500 to completely cover the cost of our spooky series! Click the link in our IG bio to get the lowdown on our summer fundraiser and make a tax deductible donation!

And with that, our whirlwind SOLD OUT production of Pride & Prejudice has come to a close. In just a week of rehearsals, this group of creatives told Jane Austen’s iconic love story - and thank you to our audiences for cheering, gasping, crying, and laughing while they did it. It was electric. āš”ļø

A huge thank you to the team at El Barrio's Artspace PS109 for having us back again ā¤ļø
