PAC NYC

PAC NYC Your Place for Performing Arts.

Long envisioned as a major international cultural institution in the heart of a revived Lower Manhattan, the Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) is one of the final elements to be constructed as part of the World Trade Center plan and was a key aspect of the vision to rebuild after the tragedy of 9/11. PAC NYC will help to redefine Lower Manhattan as a cultural destination and serve as a tes

tament to the power of the arts to inspire and unite us. Our mission is to make connections: by cultivating bonds between artists and communities; storytelling through performances that start dialogue across arts disciplines; and with flexible, intimate spaces that invite conversation and inspire people to build relationships with one another.

Last night, with our Board Chair Michael Bloomberg, last year’s PAC NYC ICON OF CULTURE Diane von Furstenberg, and Robin Roberts, we announced the 2026 PAC NYCICON OF CULTURE: Former Disney Chair and CEO Bob Iger.

Beyond his leadership at Disney and tenure as one of the world’s most influential media executives, Iger has supported the rebuilding of Lower Manhattan post-9/11 and was an early advocate for including a performing arts space, which is now the building we call home. We are excited to honor him at this year’s ICONS OF CULTURE Gala on October 27.

Thank you to BNY and the BNY Foundation for their generous support as the presenting sponsor of the 2026 PAC NYC ICONS OF CULTURE.
