A scripted scene must have the spontaneity of improvisation, so don’t substitute what you think ought to be going on for the sake of making things interesting. This means you have lost faith in the truth of the moment. Instead , let your connection to the present create a true impulse in you and let that give birth to your next action. Start that simple. Play each moment where it lies. From one true impulse to the next.
