Over the past few weeks, we’ve been celebrating some of our former CSC Troupers as they head off to college and begin the next chapter of their journeys. Watching them grow is a powerful reminder of why this work matters.

Six Saturdays of devising with the csc troupe and we’ve created 6 new scenes and 3 new spoof commercials with titles like: Gas Station Pirates, Real Houseflies of New York City, UberPals and more! Thanks to this inventive crew and the dedicated parents and friends who braved the un-air-conditioned space for our new scene read through yesterday! 👏👏👏

Last night was a great night for community building, for CitizensNYC, and for Creative Stage Collective! Our founder , Madeline Bender, received the New Yorker for New York award on behalf of CSC and gave a dynamic speech about cultivating the next wave of citizen leaders and creative belonging in multigenerational spaces—along with four other amazing honorees doing extraordinary work in their communities. And Citizens NYC raised over 1.5 million dollars to support neighborhoods and neighbors throughout NYC!
