Happy Tuesday ! Here’s a from our 2017 season. “A Likely Pair” written by Julia Izumi is about a pair of folks. One is older and one is younger and they grow up together and rely on each other as their mother has a very, very demanding job. Sometimes they fight, sometimes they don’t, as such a pair often does. The growth that has taken place over this past month is incredible and we want our to come watch! Happy ! Our 2018 production of “Outcry” was an experimental piece that uses dance, humor, and heightened language to entwine the worlds of Emmett Till, Trayvon Martin, Mamie Till, Amadou Diallo, and Nicole Bell. At OTV, our core has always been to uplift stories that are underrepresented and provide a voice to the voiceless. Thais France’s play “Outcry” does this by illuminating the Black American’s struggle and the epidemic of police brutality in America today.

Hello !!! We are expanding our Santa Barbara Home Project to include all of you, our greatest supporters! We are incredibly proud of what we were able to start, and we want The Home Project to continue — that’s where you step in!

Here are the details of what we need from you:

A video of 59 seconds or less answering the question “What is the sound of the city in your chest?”
It can be a monologue, song, music, poem, performance, landscape, dance, visual art… Whatever answers that question for you.
Challenge a friend to create their own “Home Project”
Tell us your handles so we can promote your work!

Your video will be posted on our Instagram as part of , and we hope to create a larger video project down the road. Please send videos to [email protected] with the subject line “Our Home Project- [YOUR NAME]” by to be included in the launch of the next iteration of the Home Project.
