I’m pleased to announce that I will be performing selected solo jazz piano pieces at Carnegie Hall (Weill Recital Hall) this Saturday, April 11, as part of the ACMA "Passion Through Performance" concert. Performing solo piano in a venue with the acoustic history of Weill Recital Hall is a significant milestone. I look forward to sharing this program in such a prestigious and renowned venue. Details and ticket information are available at the link in bio or in the comments.

When I was a kid, I was fascinated with the sounds coming out of the upright piano I had at home. Driven by the child’s curiosity, I used to open the cover to discover the world of wood and wire hidden inside the piano. I was obsessed with the mechanics of it, plucking the strings directly and using the sustain pedal to hear the notes bleed into each other in a very satisfying way. Those thick bass strings had a ringing and hypnotic sound that kept me there exploring the piano for hours, and that built a deep connection to this fascinating instrument…
In fact, the black and white keys were just the surface of that instrument. The real music happened inside the body of the piano…
That was my connection and exploration of the piano. What was your first interaction with a piano? Whether you play or just listen, I’d love to hear your story.
World piano day is today (the 88th day of the year, a reference to the 88 keys of the piano). Happy World Piano Day!

The "Live at FTH Theatre" EP transitioned today from a streaming album to a physical object you can add to your collection!

Unlike streaming, where music can feel like background noise, vinyl demands your attention. It’s a multi-sensory experience. The weight of the sleeve, the artwork, and the warmth of a live performance captured in time… Still waiting for my copy to arrive in the mail (it ships from the UK).

"Handing the Baton to the Bass Player"

February is the month of romance, and Ray Noble’s "The Touch of Your Lips" is a beautiful story to savor. In this clip, I wrap up my solo and hand the space over to Ron McClure. Watch how he immediately grounds the time and expands the melody with incredible depth. The digital album is out now, and you can pre-order the limited Vinyl EP and Songbook: https://f.mtr.cool/rbitnrbkqc
