October 25 – Swing a Song of Sondheim
Special co-presentation with Castle Village! Vocalist Doug Jabara with the Nikki Denner Trio performs swing arrangements of Sondheim and Broadway classics. Advance reservations accepted at [email protected], as well as tickets at the door.
November 22 – Classical Guitarist Mak Grgic
Grammy-nominated classical guitarist has performed with everyone from the St. Petersburg Symphony in Russia to the pop star k. d. lang. His program includes music by Albeniz, Ginastera, Walton, and Miroslav Tadic.
December 13 – Cassatt String Quartet
HVG perennial favorite Cassatt String Quartet, hailed for its “mighty rapport and relentless commitment,” celebrates its 40th anniversary season with a program of music by Mozart, Dvorak and Florence Price.
January 31, 2027 – Pianist Evelyne Luest in solo and chamber performances
HVG pianist Evelyne Luest is joined by violinists Mariko Smiley and Sarn Oliver of the San Francisco Symphony and others to perform the monumental Piano Quintet by Robert Schumann. Luest, whom The New York Times praised for her splendid playing, also performs music by Schumann, Beethoven and Aaron Kernis from her forthcoming solo album on the Phoenix label.
