日本語はオレンジゴスペルのページを読んでね!We cannot have a regular Orange Gospel Tour, but I keep praying for parents and kids in Japan! Here is the English translation of the beginning of this video.
In March 2020, the WHO declared the new coronavirus infection a "pandemic." Many people around the world are isolated in a society that avoids contact with people.
Japan is no exception. Especially fathers and mothers who are raising children tend to be isolated. They want to rely on someone, but they are worried about infection.
Let's try to imagine; The image of parents doing computer work in a house with small children; The image of parents taking a lot of care to avoid infection and entrusting them to a day-care service; The image of parents who cannot go to the hospital because of fear of infection even though they are worried about their child who has a fever.
They are also humans. They are not God. No matter how much they love their child, it's never easy. Sometimes parents get tired. Sometimes they feel sick. Sometimes they feel anxious. Some people are unemployed. But parents have no time to rest. Parents who are raising a small child have no time to relax.
Can't we help them? Yes, we are worried about infection, but isn't there really anything we can do?
For example, if we see a parent doing their best, maybe we can tell them with a smile, saying, "You are doing a great job!" If there is a home raising children in the neighborhood, maybe we can sometimes ask, "Everything is OK?" If our friend is raising a child, perhaps we can call them sometimes and hear their complaints over the phone or by text?
The slogan of the Orange Gospel is "Raising kids together like a choir singing." We continue to spread the message of "Love your neighbor" for the families raising children. During this pandemic, we can no longer do regular orange gospel tours. Still, "I want to do something!" People from all over the country who thought that way were gathered, and a virtual Don't Give Up choir was created by volunteers and donators, and this video was made. I pray for Japan with this cheering song that this video will reach out to the fathers and mothers who are working hard all over the country.
