“Uptown / Downtown” - for Manhattanites who eschew the mid-brow and the mid-town, we’re excited to let you know of two upcoming performances —

UPTOWN: Sunday September 27 at 3 and 7pm - with at .newyork — 3pm family show; you could bring your family to the 7pm show, too, but the music will take a darker turn.

DOWNTOWN: Tuesday November 3 at 7pm — with and at — the trio’s Joe’s Pub debut and Ljova’s first time there since 2011 — tickets are selling well, don’t snooze — especially if you want to sit together.

Uptown or downtown — join us — we’ll be excited to see you!

Trio Fadolín will release its debut album “Where We Are” on November 6th — but you can pre-order it now!

The album features world premiere recordings of works by Kinan_Azmeh, Lembit Beecher, Ljova and Alexander Zhurbin, as well as a new arrangement of a work by Andrea Casarrubios, and a special appearance by Kinan Azmeh. In all, the album contains over 95 minutes of music featuring the fadolín as a new voice in chamber music.

The Bandcamp edition of the album includes two additional bonus tracks by Aram Khachaturian and Howard Hanson. In lieu of producing traditional physical media, the Trio will release an archival-quality limited edition keepsake postcard, which can be autographed to any name you’d like. The postcard will also include a download code for a copy of the album.

To celebrate the release of the album we are performing a special show at Joe’s Pub on November 3rd at 7pm, featuring special guests Kinan Azmeh and Inna Barmash. If you are in New York, I hope that you can celebrate with us. Tickets are already on sale and the best seats are going first — get yours soon!

Friends in the Detroit area — this Sunday the 19th, plays a concert for the community of Temple Israel, West Bloomfield, MI ( ) Due to the ongoing renovations at the Temple the concert will take place at the nearby Steinway Piano Gallery, in their 200-seat auditorium. Tickets are free with registration.

The concert will include music by Dmitry Yanov-Yanovsky and Ljova, as well as folk music from Central Asia and the klezmer tradition.
