The LEE STRASBERG THEATRE AND FILM INSTITUTE'S Spring 2024 Conservatory Performances will be on Thursday June 20, Friday June 21 (both at 7PM) and Saturday June 22 at 4PM & 7:30PM. They take place at the Strasberg Institute at 15 East 15th Street (between Union Square and Irving Place) in the Marilyn Monroe Theatre.

The performances consist of engaging evenings of scenes from the gifted graduating classes of the Institute's Two Year Conservatory Program and will showcase 22 actors divided into two entirely separate groups performing on a rotating schedule. Both groups feature extraordinary young actors in their 20s who perform scenes that represent the culmination of their work in a two year graduate program with intensive method acting training and a comprehensive selection of elective courses. Don’t miss these unforgettable showcases where exciting new talent is combined with the unique training of Lee Strasberg’s Method.

The New York Euripides Summer Festival, now in its final season, will present BACCHAE at three distinctive NYC theaters starting Monday June 26TH at Actors' Temple Theatre (339 W. 47TH St.) at 8PM, continuing at AMT Theater (354 W 45TH St.) Tuesday June 27TH at 8PM, Wednesday June 28TH at 3PM and 8PM, Thursday June 29TH at 8PM and a final show on Friday June 30TH at Marilyn Monroe Theatre (115 E 15TH St) at 8PM. Performances are approximately 90 minutes with no intermission. Award winning director Lorca Peress directs a cast of 16 headed by veteran actor Stephen Diacrussi. The festival's closing coincides with American Thymele Theatre's 30 year span of offering quality Greek Theatre free of charge to all audiences. A TOMATO CAN'T GROW IN THE BRONX,, a multi-award winning drama by playwright/novelist Gary Morgenstein, opens at Chain Theater (312 W. 36th St,. 4th Floor) on Friday 12/2 for a limited 10-performance engagement thru 12/17. Featured in the cast are Jackie Kusher*, Andrea Bell Wolff*, Mike Roche*, Holly O'Brien*, Marina Rebecca Chan and Spencer Neumann. *(Members of Actors Equity).Set in a working-class neighborhood of the Bronx during the racial and political unrest of the 1960s, the play portrays the dysfunctional family dynamics between a married couple and the wife's overbearing parents who live in the apartment next door. When the couple's teenage son gets mugged, it triggers the husband's desire to move to Long Island and claim his share of the American Dream. His powerful father-in-law has other ideas.
