I love this pic. took it in my studio 4 months ago when we were celebrating my grand opening together. It was the studio’s birthday and I was so proud! Also I look masc as f**k in this pic and something about that makes my heart big.

Sometimes I get all s**tty on myself for no reason, making myself feel like crap because I’m not farther along in my career as if I’m not DOING ALL THE THINGS. I think a lot of artists do this, and frankly it’s a pretty big block for me. I’ll wish for the future to be here now as if skipping these parts of my career/life would make me enjoy existing more. I would be really sad if I up and skipped 2021 just to have more people listening to my music. I really don’t want to miss any of the moments anymore. Success is already here just because I’m choosing to show up to the page. These are tomorrow’s good ol days! They are meant to be savored now.

Today marks 6 months of consistently working out 2x a week or more. Big shout to **kingsyrus for training me and helping me take control of my bod. Without him I’d probably still be equivalent to an uncooked linguini.

My mental health has been so trash but luckily I have working out to help me live a more consistent existence. Even if I don’t break a sweat some days, it’s so important for me to show up for myself in the small ways every week. It’s the small things that matter most to me anyway, like being able to carry my laundry to the laundromat without busting my s**t or deciding to grab a few more groceries because I CAN make it all the way home.

Time to toot my own horn a bit:
I can probably do 200 push-ups in one workout session if I was tasked with the challenge. I never thought I was gonna be able to easily lift 20 lb dumbbells, ima have to expand my home gym soon. And I’m eating a more balance diet every day. My body is transforming before my eyes and that is a wild feeling. It’s like I know consistent effort will compound over time but once you experience it in action, it hits different. This one habit has changed so many other areas of my life even though it is has been a rollercoaster of pushing myself to change and transform (lots of throwing up suddenly and committing myself to the next session)

I’ve been gone for a minute.
But I’m coming back. And I’m brand SPANKING new.

A few weeks ago I decided to lay Carlx to rest. You’ll still be able to find any of my old songs on my Carlx Spotify/Apple Music pages, but I’m on to bigger and better things and will no longer be releasing music under that title.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me up until this point, you guys are the reason I make art. Connecting with y’all over the past year has been insanity, I’m so excited to take things up a notch.

So much is going on behind the scenes! I’m excited to share a bunch of updates with you soon! is going to go under construction in the next couple weeks. But I’ll be back with brand new pics and videos with brand new vibes and A WHOLE LOT OF MUSIC.

Until then, I’m working every day on myself and my recording studio. I suddenly have so many client projects I can hardly believe my own success- it’s as if the moment I decided to say F**K THE NOISE to all the leeches/psychic vampires in my life and focused on myself and my growth alone I saw huge results. People say a lot of things about “building a team” but committing to doing it alone was the best thing I ever did for myself and my art. My confidence is on a whole different level after setting real boundaries in my life and KILLING my studio build was the icing on the confidence-boost-cake. Now all I want to do is keep pushing myself to be exactly the person I want to be. I promised myself that immediately after I finish my studio build, I’m going to seek HRT. Only a couple weeks left now of setting appointments and getting Medicare. And immediately after that… well that’s gonna be a surprise to everyone! 😏😏😏

When my dog, Alex, first wakes up, she immediately lays on one of our heads for extra cuddles before we feed her. Today she chose to sleep on Mommy and I’m glad cuz I get this cute pic. Even tho I’m jealous cuz I wanted the cuddles lol 😝

Trans youth are some of the most at risk members of the trans community. Especially trans kids of color.
I can’t help but meditating on y’all’s safety and security, especially as anti-trans legislation is big problem we are all facing. Every day I do the work to dismantle the gender binary so that all of us can live safely and freely. What are you doing to support trans youth?

If you’re cis and you got questions about trans issues: don’t ask me. Don’t slide in my dms, don’t arrange a phone call to talk to me about your transphobia. DONT ASK OTHER TRANS PEOPLE FOR THIS LABOR EITHER. Just don’t do it. I’m not an educator or an activist, I’m just a transboi and I’m not giving free labor to cis people anymore. This free labor has never helped me or my community, and I don’t see any reason to give information at my own expense anymore, especially because there are so many better sources to ask about these things. Like who knows 1000000x more than any cis person about gender and they are always posting amazing information. Y’all obvi don’t want to hear what I have to say anyway.

This phase of my life is called: healthy boundaries with people who are committed to misunderstanding me. Go read a book on your own time instead of wasting mine.. I shouldn’t be expected to do the work for you. ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE GAY. Like WTF? Y’all do realize the reason you have basic rights is cuz of black trans people...right? IM OVER THE BULLCRAP.

Sometimes, what you need most is honoring the promises you made to yourself. For me, that’s daily committing to trying my best. In my stillness I am realizing how much more there is for me out there and how it truly is up to me to seize my day and my life! Even during quarantine, I feel like I’m at the starting blocks for the rest of my life. The potential energy building up inside of me is palpable.
