Tribes in the Dark Backer eBook Updated!

We updated the Tribes in the Dark Backer eBook on DriveThruRPG today (March 30th 2026). Fixing page 2 (credits page), page 187 (adding missing artwork), and page 285 (adding missing artwork) see images of the updated pages below.

The updated file "Tribes_in_the_Dark_eBook_Final_Updated.pdf" has been added to the Backer libraries on DriveThruRPG.com for you to login and download. We also upload an updated PoD book interior file and will order new proof copies to get approved sometime in April.

Tribe 8 - Tribes in the Dark eBook - DriveThruRPG Download Codes sent to Backers Today!

The final layout of the Tribe 8 - Tribes in the Dark eBook - Is now available for Backers!

We finished the final 332 page layout of Tribes in the Dark last week and created a new eBook private download page for Campaign Backers and Outside Backers with the eBook reward level. It includes the final Tribes in the Dark eBook and Tribes in the Dark Playerkit-v2.pdf downloads. Codes were emailed out from DriveThruRPG just after 4 pm EST on Saturday March 21st 2026 to those Backers. If you don't see the email please check your spam folder. If you still don't find it, you can contact Robert at Dream Pod 9 via email at [email protected] (don't respond with your email address in a comment to this update).

We also created a new private eBook and POD Book at a special price download page for Campaign Backers with that reward level. It includes the final eBook and Playerkit-v2.pdf downloads. Codes were emailed out from DriveThruRPG just after 4:15 pm EST on Saturday March 21st 2026 to those Backers. If you don't see the email please check your spam folder. If you still don't find it, you can contact Robert at Dream Pod 9 via email at [email protected] (don't respond with your email address in a comment to this update).

The POD Book purchase option is still not active yet, proof copies of the softcover and hardcover have been ordered. Once DP9 receives and approves them, we'll make a new update post on the Kickstarter to let Backers with the POD reward level know that they can be ordered via their DriveThruRPG accounts. The POD Books with be at their actual POD printing costs of $15.08 USD for the Softcover or $20.59 USD for the Hardcover, plus shipping cost to your location. Later when the eBook and POD Books are available to the general public the eBook with be priced at $30.00 USD, the Softcover will be $50.00 USD and the Hardcover will be $60.00 USD.

Next we are working on the Tribes in the Dark Companion eBook and plan to have it ready for Backers in Summer 2026.

Tribe 8 - Tribes in the Dark Ebook - Backers Only Preview!

We have finished making adjustments to the Backer Preview Ebook PDF, it only needs the new artwork added once they are finished. Then we made it available for download through DriveThruRPG along with pdfs of the playbooks saved in landscape and portrait formats for our Backers. If you were a Backer during the Kickstarter Campaign for the Ebook or Print on Demand (POD) Book or a Late Backer of the Ebook you should have received an email (sent at 4pm EST October 25th, 2025) with link code. If you did not please check your spam folder and if you still don't find it, you can contact Robert at Dream Pod 9 via email at [email protected] and he'll help you out.

Attached is a preview of the final Ebook front and back covers. You can still make a Later Backer pledge of $35.00 CAD for the Ebook reward and receive the Backers Only Preview Ebook right away and receive the Final Ebook in late December, once all the new artwork is done and added. Tribes in the Dark Kickstarter Successfully Funded on September 14th 2025!

A Big Thank You to All Our Backers, with $17,973.00 CAD raised, the Kickstarter was a great success.

We've decided to leave the Kickstarter open for Late Backers until we have final eBook ready in December. With the goal of raising the extra $1,027.00 CAD needed to unlock our Stretch Goal #6 for all the Backers.

That’s a wrap friends. We are extending the biggest thank you to the 425 backers who made this dream a reality. We’ve increased the art budget three times! Unlocked the companion (more on that soon) and) increased its art and every backer will be getting the map pack. We are going to convene and get to work. Tribes in the Dark Kickstarter Final 27 Hours and Stretch Goal 5 Unlocked!

Pledges are now over $17,000.00 CAD unlocking our Fifth Stretch Goal to add more new artwork to the Tribes in the Dark Companion pdf. A Big Thank You, from the Tribes in the Dark Team!
