This is where everything started. The painting that settled my current voice, and where the journey truly began.
A few years ago, I decided to slowly move from digital painting toward working on canvas. Both my digital practice and my life had hit a quiet kind of plateau. I had grown, but in the growing, new confusions had started to bloom.
It was my first time living alone in the American suburbs. Suddenly there was so much time for self-dialogue. I tried, covered, repainted, and tried again on the canvas, over and over, never quite finding the voice I was searching for.
And then one night, Floating simply arrived. It grew on its own, right in front of me. When it was finished I looked at it and thought: there you are.
That was the first night I came face to face with my own subconscious.

Most of the time, I’m just pushing myself forward, acting as if I have every step figured out. But in the quiet moments, the doubt still creeps in. Cards have always held something I couldn’t quite explain.

Not because of what they predict, but because of what they make space for. A moment to pause. A question you didn’t know you needed. A quiet permission to look inward.

I’ve always been drawn to the way a single image can hold so many different states of being, and how the act of choosing, turning, and sitting with a card can slow something down inside you.

That’s where A Journey Through Light began. Not with a concept, but with a feeling I could only translate through lines and colors.

[ A Journey Through Light ] 🧘🏻💫

Some things you simply know have always been there.
Flickering in and out of view, difficult to name, yet never truly gone.

This deck grew from something like that.
It appeared during some of the quietest moments of my life, and also at the most chaotic turning points.

I would draw it, leave it behind, and return again.
Walking the same path, over and over.
Until one day, it slowly began to take on a shape of its own.

A Journey Through Light is a deck of 47 cards.
It is not a tool for fortune telling.
Instead, it is a space to pause, to feel, to read yourself.

Over the coming weeks, I‘ll introduce them.

This year feels bright and honest.
Some things can no longer be ignored.
