If you want to read on, I have some more things I'd like to add.
First off, I'd like to say that this was definitely a learning experience. We had certain expectations and goals in mind when we decided to do a longer story arc then we had previously. One very important goal was to get the comics out consistently and on time.
That of course, didn't happen. The hiatus was unexpected. I think we would've finished much sooner if that had not happened, but still not as fast or consistently as we would've liked.
We overestimated how much time we had in a day to finish the comics while also working and supporting ourselves financially. There were things we just didn't foresee beforehand.
So, although we love making Buffs and Brews and it's our passion project, there just wasn't the time we thought we had. For now at least that's the case. But we still want to keep growing and getting better.
The biggest point to all this is that moving forward we are going back to single, one-off comics for awhile. Doing the arc was fun and challenging, but after getting delayed and only being able to write this as our only mainline comic for months and months, we've been anxious to do other things with B's B&B.
I've probably gone on a little too long. But I just felt that I should say something.
