Opening tomorrow—Justin Hager ‘Angel Hair’ at Moss (Moss New York).

‘Angel Hair’ brings together an entirely new series of oil paintings by Justin Hager (justin hager) created exclusively for Moss.

‘Angel Hair’ explores the relationship between language and image. Inspired by Charlotte’s Web, many of the works incorporate words camouflaged within the horses’ manes and coats through layered stippling, echoing the way Charlotte spun messages into her webs. Rather than functioning as captions, the words become part of the animals themselves, inseparable from their form.

Justin Hager ‘Angel Hair’ opens on Tuesday, August 11, from 6–9pm at 520 Fifth Avenue.

‘Don’t Stop’ a group exhibition organized by Abella D’Adamo (abella), is now on view at Whaam!

Based in New York, Abella D’Adamo work draws on psychedelic aesthetics and subcultural imagery. through hypnotic compositions of vortexes, portals, and optical illusions, D’Adamo creates immersive paintings that invite prolonged engagement. Her practice explores the seductive potential of painting, using repetition, illusion, and visual depth to blur the boundaries between perception and reality while encouraging an interactive viewing experience.

‘Don’t Stop’ is on view through Friday August 21, at 15 Elizabeth Street.

Today is the last day to visit ‘Kinda True’ by Mia Scarpa (MIA) and Grace Horan (gracehoran) at WHAAM!

The stage is set how many stages have been set before, a small gallery in lower Manhattan, budding artists ready for their next challenge, pruned by masters for their time in the sunlight. The Painter, The Sculptor, like the red and blue lenses of Anaglyph 3D glasses, once both viewpoints merge a new depth entirely is created. There is magic that happens in this moment of unity. The coupling of imagery mirrors the connection between artists; stronger together, new meaning formed by their placement beside each other. Articulating the same moment with different tints. As if one the guardian of the other’s achilles heal, this artistic unison: impenetrable. (problemchildAdvisory)

‘Kinda True’ is on view through Friday, July 3, at 15 Elizabeth Street.
