REECE BROUGHT CHICAGO TO THE STEPS ACADEMY!⭐️

Reece Weaver brought that FIERCE Fosse energy to our studios, and like the icons before her, she brings her own personality to Roxie Heart. The intricacies of that classic Fosse style, the electricity that radiated through the studio, and the razzle-dazzle that defines Reece’s unique spin on Roxie left our dancers inspired, empowered, and ready to command the stage.

The Steps Academy had such a pleasure hosting Reece from CHICAGO on BROADWAY for this special Master Class. A HUGE thank you to Little Words Project® for the keepsakes from their collab with Chicago The Musical ♥️

SEE REECE WEAVER AS ROXIE HEART NOW THROUGH OCTOBER 18! LINK IN BIO TO SECURE TICKETS🎫

Thank you to Reece, the Chicago team, and Little Words project for making this all possible. The Hot Honey Rag is in our bones!

We’re gearing up for the start of our Academic Year tomorrow! Some of our Steps Academy faculty chimed in to let us know what they’re looking forward to most this coming year♥️

We can’t wait to see you in our studios tomorrow! Let’s set the tone for a great year with our Pre-Professional Orientation tonight⭐️

“Welcome to the Steps Academy, you dance for your LIFE here” ✨

Robert Redick asked his Summer Intensive Session 3 dancers to set the tone for their week with just one word. As they went around the circle, we couldn’t help but feel inspired by the enthusiasm, maturity, and gratitude all these dancers showed their peers and faculty.

Robert brings a distinct ease to the studios⚡️which allows his dancers to speak and move freely and authentically. His personality shines through his choreography and his warm, constructive teaching style encourages EVERYONE to take that leap of faith and try new things.

⭐️Come take YOUR next leap and keep up your training up by celebrating one year of Robert’s weekly Steps on Broadway teaching slot ⏰TODAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2026!
In-studio and virtual options available.

Special thanks to Uriah for the awesome edit!🖤

The STEPS LEGACY SERIES ⭐️ Generations of families have danced through the studios at 2121 Broadway. We celebrate over 45 years of serving our community and the families who’ve grown alongside us.

The love is generational ♥️ Nancy Bielski has been teaching professional ballet at Steps on Broadway for over 30 years. When her daughter, Sophie Alpern, takes her class with HER two daughters, Lulu and Sadie, watching from the sidelines, everything seems to fall into place.🫂

Lulu and Sadie are currently enrolled in the Steps Academy’s First Steps program. They’re the next generation of dancers, one step behind Grandma and Mom. “Watching my mom take class, it’s kind of like me imagining to be in that class and learning how to do all those things. It’s very fun!” — Lulu🫶

As we’re one week out from the start of the Academy’s academic year, we can’t wait to welcome dancers and families back to the studios. Here’s to the next generation finding their own place in the Steps legacy. ♥️

Phases | Choreography by Jourdan Epstein (Jourdan Epstein)
Elite Dance Intensive - The Steps on Broadway Academy
⭐️
These four Pre-Professional dancers moved with grace, fluidity, and fearlessness when performing Jourdan Epstein’s Phases as their culminating piece for Elite Dance Intensive.

The intricate details woven in with the girls’ musicality made every transition seamless, and the circular quality of the choreography and movement showcased their talent naturally.
⭐️
We are so excited to welcome back Jourdan Epstein as Pre-Pro Guest Ballet Faculty this coming Academic Year! Classes start in a couple of weeks — don’t miss out on these amazing training opportunities and head to our bio to learn more about auditioning for our Pre-Pro programs.✨
