Our Monthly Open House is your chance to experience the studios in person. Walk the halls, peek into available studios, and get a real feel for what your next workspace could be.

We have a range of studios available for all budgets, from large, light-filled spaces to more accessible options within a professional creative environment. Whether you’re ready to move in or just starting your search, this is the best way to see what’s possible.

Our team will be on-site all day for private tours, to answer questions, and to help guide you through the application process if you find the right fit.

You’ll also get a glimpse into the community that calls Rockella home, and can join a free hands-on workshop hosted by RRASP Resident Partner (), The New Renaissance Art Society ().

Explore our Rockella Member ’s wonderful artworks, working from her One Eyed Studios space.

Get • Each scale is applied by hand, one at a time. Hundreds of them, following the contours of the form, aggregating into texture the same way coral builds a reef. The smooth organic surface underneath is part of the Whimsie system, slip-cast ceramic modules stacked to create structure.

Two very different making processes living on the same piece. Tomorrow you will see what it looks like finished.

Brown Bears Studio encourages music professionals to come make a home in our soundproof spaces and visual artists to create in our affordable, large, light-filled spaces. Located in Brownsville, an area that has a history of producing music that moves and street art that uses huge outdoor brick walls as its canvas, Brown Bears Studio occupies a building with a long history of creativity by New Yorkers. Traditionally, the neighborhood has a long history of manufacturing products such as food, furniture, and metals and our building is no exception with a history of millinery manufacturing.

About Rockella Spacespace was conceived in 2017 out of a personal need for an affordable artist studio and a grand dream of building out the perfect, light-filled art studio complex. Today, .space occupies factory buildings in NYC, offering over 300 creative spaces to the community that all retain an industrial aesthetic, old-world charm, and architectural hints to the history of the previous creative lives they once hosted.
