Alice Parker Pyle, noted choral composer, conductor and teacher, and beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully on December 24, 2023, at her home in Hawley, Massachusetts, surrounded by her family. She was 98 years old. A private memorial service is being planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Chorus America (specify the Alice Parker Fund in the memo field if sending a check), Greenfield Community College Foundation (specify the Harrison Parker Scholarship Fund in the memo field if sending a check), Mohawk Trail Concerts, Charlemont Federated Church, PO Box 248, Charlemont, MA 01339, or any charity that supports women in need.
