This September, I’m excited to launch an online Full-Length Playwriting Challenge with one simple goal: distill your amazing ideas and help you turn them into a completed full-length play.

To kick off the program, I’m hosting a FREE virtual idea generation workshop on September 10th with a morning or evening session.

During this sample class, you will have the opportunity to craft and pull out your ideas, see an example of my teaching style, and learn more about the Full-Length Playwriting Challenge!

Your ideas are amazing but how can you turn your idea into a play?

Ideas reflect so many parts of our inner world. Not necessarily the inner world that is 100% us and our core being (though that can be it). Within playmaking and generating ideas for plays and stories, we distill layers and layers of ideas that interweave into a story.

Let's Make a Play this fall!

So excited to be teaching two classes at River’s Edge Theatre Co. this fall!

Mondays at 5:30pm, Playwriting for Kids:
September 14 - January 25
Kids will learn how to write their own 10-minute play over the course of the session. The class also includes some art, improv, play reading, brainstorming, idea building, establishing setting and tone, structure, creating character profiles, and of course writing! The last class ends with a staged reading of the kids' work. The class is for all levels; no experience is necessary. Each class includes a Let's Make a Play workbook.

Sundays at 10am, Playwriting for Adults

Monologue writing is an incredible tool to empower you to tell your own personal story. In this two-hour workshop, participants will learn how to develop character, establish setting, set tone, develop backstory, and create the world of their personal monologue. This adult workshop is for writers of all abilities–no experience is necessary. Worksheets will be provided.
