“Back to school” season is busy for us homeschoolers too. Our not-going-back-to-school month has been a roller coaster. 🎢
New classes, a new schedule, the daily “What are we doing today?” questions… and getting used to subway rides again after a summer of driving to quieter towns in Westchester for swimming and suburb style shopping malls.
Yes, surprise: I drive now! 🚗 (See the 9th slide for visual evidence.) Learning to drive at 44 has been my big new challenge, and I love the freedom it gives me. As an introvert who gets overwhelmed easily, a little privacy in the car feels pretty wonderful too. Love that I can turn my car into a stadium by blasting BTS on repeat.
The kids started tennis, we saw “Six” (amazing Broadway show, though I may regret how quickly they memorized the very adult lyrics 😂), and I’ve been working 📸 more than ever. Having my mom here since she moved from Japan three months ago has been such a help.
I’m hoping we all find our rhythm soon. Meanwhile, fall is almost here, which means the busiest season of the year for this photographer! 🍂📸 I was so blessed to photograph weddings with 3 couples this month, each one of them was so different from one another, and so meaningful in its own way. I’m excited for my favorite work season!
