For all my good friends at Nublu (my adopted second home!), they're obviously having a very rough time right now. If you can contribute anything at all, it would be greatly appreciated. Ilhan and everyone at Nublu are so musician-friendly, they've been absolutely great to me and everyone in our crew. The clubs are so unique in this town, I've seen so many great shows at 151 and met so many great people there, I'd just like to see us all help them out as best as possible. Thx to Ilhan, Eda, Nader, Eric, Harrison, Pinar, Veronika, Onur, Horatio, EJ (?), Piril and everyone else, you guys have all been absolutely great, thank you!

In advance of our Rock and Roll Saturdays at Nublu Classic we've been featuring videos which really just breathe rock and roll. We'll admit, today's videos are a bit different - but, they ARE Springsteen and hey, it's a New York City song!!!

The first video (well, it's only audio, sorry!!!) is from the LEGENDARY Feb. 5, 1975 Main Point show, when the violinist Suki Lahav was still in the band. The second video (which is really a video!) is from the next night at Widener College. The quality is a bit rough, but, WOW.

Talking Heads gained recognition during the punk rock movement of 1975 - 1976 that exploded out of CBGB's in the East Village, along with The Ramones, Blondie and others.

Again, we're promoting our upcoming Rock and Roll Saturdays at Nublu Classic series, beginning April 11, where we're going to try to get at that spirit and energy of rock and roll.

Getting back to posting some videos for our new Rock and Roll Saturdays at Nublu Classic, clips that really show the energy and fun of rock and roll, which is what we're going to be trying to get across in our new series beginning April 11. Here are the Blasters, a great group with the brothers Phil and Dave Alvin (SO much fun watching the young Dave Alvin in these clips) and the great Bill Bateman on drums.

If you want to talk about the spirit of rock and roll, THIS has gotta' exemplify that - the night that Bruce and the boys painted on their Darkness billboard when they were in L.A. for a show. The 1978 Darkness tour was totally INTENSE, and Bruce had something to prove. PROVE IT ALL NIGHT indeed!!!

OK folks, I'm just going to have some fun promoting our new Rock and Roll Saturdays at Nublu Classic series kicking off April 11. I'll be posting a new video every couple days, something that represents the vibe of what we're going for here and things that are just ROCK AND ROLL!!!
