Not really a haiku, just a philosophical idea. Where the name of the flower and my name are unimportant. More important is the experience of the flower, such as the joy of seeing it. Not naming it, judging it, saying it’s beautiful, but being fully present, not thinking of it, just being, simply observing without thought. Pure awareness. You can learn this from deer and other animals.

Just what it appeared to do. I’m unsure if herons fly that high up. I see mostly blue herons at nearby ponds/lakes in Texas. I believe they travel to the coast because the shallow water is good for catching fish.

5/5/7 haiku for today. Unsure if the photo I took on the right is a baby mosquito ➡️ but a mosquito sure wanted my blood yesterday (the protein and iron in blood helps them develop their eggs)
