In one week my musical project for peace will be released to all streaming platforms. On World Peace Day, September 21st my song MOTHERS in 18 languages goes live.

English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian, Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi, Turkish and Kurdish, Ukrainian and Russian, Chinese and Japanese
Hindi, Swahili and TWI.

It is a symbolic project, a great contemporary song with strong lyrics that shall be sung by the mothers of the world everywhere.

I took great care to create, produce and arrange the songs honouring the culture and musical traditions in the countries, respecting the authentic instruments and voices.

For many months I have been researching and realising these many versions with honest devotion, respect and love in my heart for these countries and languages.
Hermann Hesse wrote a hundred years ago: What unites us is far greater than what divides us. Borders are arbitrary and made up to divide us instead of embracing each other.

I wanted to find a way for art and music to make a difference. I am not the singer on most of these versions, just the creator and I could never sing it as wonderfully as these voices I created with musical tools.

I will sing the song though in concerts around the world, hopefully joined by many other women of different heritage, cultures and religions to give it life and meaning with this human outcry for PEACE.

Ute Lemper brings her RENDEZVOUS with MARLENE DIETRICH for another round to the 54 BELOW on September 18th and 19th.

After her 3 hour phone call with Marlene in the year 1987 Ute waited 30 years to create a show about this special bond that grew between the 2 Ladies… beyond death.

Marlene passed away in 1992, just when Ute was performing Marlene's Role of LOLA in the BLUE ANGEL in Berlin….. a strange coincidence…

The spirit of Marlene is alive and she has an important message for you….
