Swipe to meet our incredible 2026–27 Call for Scores winners! 🎉

We received 65 applications from student composers across the United States and are thrilled to feature works by Luca Pasquini (Luca Pasquini) and Michele Selvaggi (Michele Selvaggi - Composer) during our upcoming season 🌟

We’d also like to extend special recognition to Younje Cho (Younje Cho), our 2026–27 Honorable Mention.

Luca Pasquini is a NYC-based composer and interdisciplinary artist exploring the complexity of human emotions through themes of the natural, supernatural, and digital worlds, often meditating on viscerality and virtuosity. His work spans various mediums, from the concert music stage to music for installation, dance, and film. Haydn for breakfast! 🥞🍴

A huge thank you to and for having us back on their Arts on Bergen concert series after 3 years! Coincidentally, we also played other Haydn’s Cello Concerto then (with .hannahsohn 💖). We had an amazing time playing in this gorgeous space, answering questions from the audience, and hope to return soon!

Meet Miles! Our soloist for A Haydn Celebration, this upcoming Wednesday, April 22 at 12pm ☀️ Miles will be performing Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 2 in D, and we can’t wait! Cellist Miles Goosby (), 25, enjoys a varied career as a soloist, orchestral, and chamber musician,
and is a passionate and dedicated teacher. Celebrated for his sensitive and generous musicianship, he is a graduate of .nyc (BM ‘23) and (MM ‘25), where he studied with Julia Lichten and Natasha Brofsky, respectively.

Miles’s recent performance highlights include performing as a semi-finalist of the 29th Annual
Competition; ’s Opening Night with Yuja Wang and the NYO All-Star
Orchestra; performing as a soloist in Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the ; and chamber recitals with the , and , where he collaborated with his brother and pianist .

As a devoted chamber musician, Goosby has collaborated with acclaimed artists including
Itzhak Perlman, Laurie Smukler, Areta Zhulla, Don Weilerstein, Sam Rhodes, and the Takács, Juilliard, and Brentano Quartets; he was a featured recording artist on Damien Sneed’s 2025 album Our Song, Our Story. He is an alumnus of chamber music festivals such as , , .yale, , and both the Robert Mann and Juilliard String Quartet Seminars. He was a founding member of the BECA Quartet, based at the Juilliard School. As members of the Juilliard Honors Chamber Program, BECA’s performances included recitals at Alice Tully Hall, the California Festival in collaboration with Kris Bowers, and ’s Greene Space in New York City.

His passion for community outreach and education has led him to educational residencies in Memphis, TN, with the Iris Collective, and serving on the faculty of . Miles has appeared as a guest teaching artist at educational programs for schools in New York City in addition to teaching a private studio.
