Honored to be invited for an interview at Taipei’s Guling Street Avant-Garde Theatre, a former police station transformed into a vital home for experimental performance.
What a sensitive and thoughtful exchange with Prof. Sandra W. Li and editor Chun-Wen Liang, sitting together in the theatre’s dance studio to delve deeply into my practice across stage direction, movement, and music theatre.
I’m very grateful for the invitation, and especially for the much care, preparation, and sensibility they brought to the conversation.
The full interview will be published in the theatre’s newsletter this December and is geared for performance students in Taiwan, Korea and Japan.

Very grateful to composer and digital artist Prof. Sandra Tavali Wuan-chin Li for this beautiful new article exploring the music behind Army of Love.
Sandra looks beyond the technology and participation into something very close to the heart of the work: how melody, polyphony, sound, movement, space, and human relationships become part of the same composition.

I’m excited to share that Army of Love has been invited to the Taitung Sound Art Festival in Taiwan.
On August 16, hundreds of participants will transform into a living artwork through movement, listening, singing, play, and collective discovery, becoming part of a large-scale orchestration of color, sound, and human interaction using nothing more than their smartphones.
