Goodnight, cat lovers. 🌙

A reminder before bed: spayed and neutered cats live healthier, calmer lives, and every fixed cat means fewer kittens born into shelters. If your rescue isn't fixed yet, make the appointment this week.

Rest well. Dream of purrs. Tomorrow we do it all again. 🧡

She hides under the bed. He won't come near. That's okay. 🤍

Shy rescue cats don't distrust you, they just need time. Sit on the floor. Read out loud. Let them sniff your hand without grabbing. The day a shy cat chooses your lap? Nothing beats it.

Patience is the whole secret. Have you earned the trust of a shy cat? Share your story below. 👇

Happy Gotcha Day to every rescue cat celebrating today! 🎉🐱

One year ago (or five, or ten), someone walked into a shelter and a cat walked into their heart. Cake for the humans, treats for the legend.

Is your cat's gotcha day this week? Tell us how many years you've been together below, we'll celebrate with you! 🧡

Thinking about adopting? Here's what to ask at the shelter. 📋🐾

1. What's the cat's energy level and routine?
2. How are they with kids, dogs, other cats?
3. Any medical needs or special diet?
4. Litter habits and scratching preferences?
5. What's their history, do they have a story?

The right questions lead to the right match. A good shelter will love that you asked.

Save this post for your shelter visit! 💛

Black cats wait the longest. 🖤

It's true and it's unfair: black cats are the last to be adopted and the first to be overlooked in shelters. Some people can't see past the color. We can't see past the heart.

Black cats are mini panthers. Sleek, elegant, mysterious, and ridiculously photogenic once you see them.

If your black cat rules your house, show them off below. Let's give black cats the spotlight they deserve. 🖤

Monday motivation, sponsored by a rescue cat. 🐱💪

New week. New chances. Somewhere a shelter cat is sitting by the kennel door, tail up, hoping today is the day.

Shelters across the USA and Canada open their doors this week. Start your Monday with a visit, a share, or a donation. Small acts, big purrs.

Happy Monday, cat lovers! ☀️

Goodnight from the Cat Lovers family. 🌙🐱

Somewhere tonight, a shelter cat is sleeping on a clean blanket, dreaming, waiting. Tomorrow someone will walk in and change their whole world.

Maybe that someone is reading this. Shelters across the USA and Canada are open this weekend. Go meet your new best friend.

Sleep well, and dream of purrs. 🧡

Your turn, USA and Canada! 🇺🇸🇨🇦

We read your adoption stories every night and they never get old. So let's do this: in ONE sentence, tell us how your rescue cat found you.

We'll start: "She was a stray; now she owns the couch."

Your turn below ⬇️ We read every single one.

Tiny paws, big second chance. 🍼🐱

These little ones were found in a cardboard box behind a grocery store, cold and hungry. Three weeks later? Round bellies, open eyes, and the loudest purrs you've ever heard.

Kitten season keeps rescues busier than ever. If you've been thinking about adopting a pair (kittens do better in twos!), now is the time. Check your local shelter.

Double-tap if you're a kitten believer! 🧡

Fostering saves lives, one spare room at a time. 🏠🐾

Not ready to adopt? You can still be the bridge between a scared shelter cat and their forever home. Fosters give cats a couch, a routine, and the social skills they need to shine at adoption day.

Many shelters cover food and vet costs. All you bring is the love and the space.

Tag someone who would make an amazing foster! 💛
